exhaust cam

Delta here in Tacoma, WA does something to their regrinds. It looks like
some kind of wavy wide patch down the middle of the lobe that only leaves
about an 1/8th of an inch of raw steel on the edges. I don't know if it's a
coating or heating or what but I used one of their G-grind cams for about a
year and when I took it out it still had the pattern on it.

Would think regrinding without re-case hardening the lobes would give you a
cam that would wear out in a few thousand miles. So, it depends on the
quality standards of the regrinder...if they case harden after grinding, you
should be okay.

Wow, thats a deal.. $200 to get a set of 260/276's

The question is- does grinding them like this cause them to lose any of
their strength or wear resistance? I remember reading about autotech cam
lobes flattening off - would reground cams be more likely to suffer this
  fate (more likely than stock)?
