Does rear axle from '81 Rabbit fit '81 Scirocco?

andrew is right I had shims on my rear axle stubs, and when I did the
conversion to 16v rear brakes, I simply said I'm just going to slap them on
and them get an alignmnet and after the 4 wheels alignment the rear was
straight.

I would start by changing your axle stubs.. alot easier than changing the
rear axle..

=>The MkI, being such a light car, does do fairly well with a diesel. A

=>
=>The one thing you may want to confirm is if it is the axle BEAM that is
=>bent (replace the whole axle) or the stub axle, which is bolted to the
=>beam with 4 bolts. It's much easier to replace the stub axle, IMHO, than
=>an entire axle beam.
