Downpipe/Manifold Exhaust leak?

Thanks all for the responses.

I agree with the general consensus to buy a new downpipe vs trying to fix the flex joint.
I'll probably get the techtonics model for $325.00 (vs ~$800 from dealer - ughh).

Now, any advice on how to remove the nuts that hold the downpipe to the manifold?
I am concerned about the innerbolt nearest to the distributor. Today I'm going
to soak what I can reach with penetrant. Then tomorrow I'll try loosening everything.

This car is my 'back-up' and I don't drive it very often, so if the bolts don't come off
easily I'll probably not try to fix it.

Also, I will very likely part with it in the spring. If anyone wants to trade an equal value 
Ford f150 for it, I am interested. The sciroccos condition is rough - dented door, faded paint,
odo broke at 123k (I would guess it has ~130k), but the engine is 16v and starts easily and
pulls strong.
