sunroof interior question

I've got a sunroff interior issue.  The P.O. ripped out the headliner and
the sunroof inside cover.  I have put a new headliner in but not the sunroof
cover.  Does anyone know how to attach this metal piece?  Does it fit in the
track?  Do I have to remove the suroof and/or it's tracks to get the metal
cover in?  ANy info would be helpful
