starter questions

If the starter is indeed pulling too much current, you need to find out why and fix it. Just installing heavier cables will not cure the problem, only mask part of it.

  Subject: starter questions

Ok i have an 87 16v when i try to start it the tach needle jumps and it
cranks really slowly i fugure that this is the starter pulling to much of a
load, but i noticed that the pewny stock battery cables get very HOT so i am
planning on replacing them with some heavy gauge battery cables. what do you
guys suggest anyone know the exact length i need to buy for the positive and
negative? any help will be greatly appreciated!
