Torque plates?



Neal,
    the block distorts under the tensile stress of the head bolts being
installed/torqued. if you want that distortion compensated for, find a torque
plate and have them use it. any shop that knows what they are doing will have
one.
    if you are having your block bored at all, get the torque plate and have it
done right. some might say its a neglegable difference, but ask yourself just
how much $$ you've put into it so far. is it really worth cutting that kind of
corner?
