My little beastie is sick

Hi All,
Started my 87 8v up this morning and it puked all over the driveway. It
(fortunately) maintained enough oil in the system to get it into the garage,
the rest is now a really neat stain in the snow (no I hadn't shovelled my
driveway - it was about -20 last night). I only ran it about 1 minute and it's
still leaking oil several hours later, so I'm confident nothing was hurt inside.
Anyhow, the leak seems to be the square block-like bit the oil filter
screws into from the bottom and the pressure senders screw into in the top (or
maybe one of them is the temp sensor for the MFA?). Unfortunately, my Bentley
is on back-order so I have to ask. What is the name of this square bit and how
hard is it to change the (presumed) leaking seal at the top? Does this thing
just unscrew like the filter? Is my problem actually going to be the two
little sensors on top? Unfortunately my (soon to be fire starting material)
Haynes is completely silent on this topic. The archives only had discussions
about this area on 16v engines that I could find.
I really appreciate any help you can provide. I'm really not enjoying
driving about in a mini-van. Just doesn't corner the same.

Cheers,
Colin
