EFI was HP at which a 4k is too low gearing?

Ah hah! You have joined the ranks of the Cheapass!
Actually, I have one on order also. I was going to install it on my 81 with
KS ignition and run it in FSP, but now the 81's future is unclear. Not sure
what I'm going to do with the megasquirt.
In any event it looks pretty good. Windows software instead of DOS software
(Come on Haltech!) or a simple little hand held input device. It has an 8 X
8 matrix where the user can set the RPM and MAP points for the matrix which
seems just about right for NA and it will run closed loop.
And if it won't currently datalog, there are enough knowledgeable people
jumping on this that someone will figure out a way to do it and make in
available to all the users.
It might be interesting making it work with throttle bodies since it is a
MAP based system, but if push came to shove you could change the MAP input
to a TPS input and run it that way.
You know, the Haltech has alot of capability, but this effing DOS software
is driving me nuts.
Personally, I think Megasquirt is a pretty good choice.
Think you'll have it ready by Cincy??
Dan
