why do people think Nitrous burns?(BECAUSE IT DOES)

NOS ... Nitrous Oxide. Hey im not here to make judgements about it. Your
choice is the following.

MATERIAL SAFETY DATA SHEET

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
SECTION 1 CHEMICAL PRODUCT AND COMPANY IDENTIFICATION

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MATHESON TRI-GAS, INC.
...
MTG MSDS 70; DINITROGEN MONOXIDE; FACTITIOUS AIR; LAUGHING GAS;
HYPONITROUS ACID ANHYDRIDE; NITROGEN (I) OXIDE; NITROGEN OXIDE; STCC
4904340; UN 1070; NITROGEN OXIDE (N2O); DINITROGEN OXIDE; NITROUS OXIDE,
COMPRESSED; N2O; MAT16790; RTECS QX1350000
....
PHYSICAL HAZARDS: Containers may rupture or explode if exposed to heat.

FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARDS: Negligible fire hazard. Containers may rupture
or explode if exposed to heat. Gas/air mixtures are explosive.

so basically what you get is a FUEL -AIR BOMB when the tank erupts from
the heat/ impact.

If the contents were not some sort of catalys for the IGNITION of the
Fuel-air mix in the COMBUSTION chamber NOBODY would use it.

SO before you ppl go off half-cocked blabbing about stuff you obviously
dont understand. I suggest the following
do a GOOGLE search on MSDS and Nitrous Oxide.
and if you dont think PURE oxygen will burn/explode I also suggest that
apollo mission that the astronatsuts DIED in becuase of a small spark and
thier 100%(or very near) O2 environment.

And BTW>
the Hindenberg Had HYDROGEN not Nitrogen. and it also had a MAGNESIUM
based paint of the outside sking which was burning in the pictures ..
off rant.
brian
Engineer.

additionally HINTS.
what are the FERTILIZER bombs made from? Nitrogen based compounds
Rocket FUELS.
ammonia
etc. etc. etc.
