2.0 swap Do I have everything I need? NO!

Let's put it this way Dan...NO! You don't have everything you need. What
you forgot, I can't tell you, but I jumped into my project thinking I
"had everything I need" and it just doesn't work out that way. Plan on
having a few hundred dollars extra socked away to finish...No, I'm not
kidding. You will need a cushion for a bunch of silly stuff you would
have never thought of. Also, don't expect too much of yourself. I am not
putting you down, but you can easily talk yourself into wild time
frames, that are just not attainable. My 81 was SUPPOSED to be done by
the end of October...Well $ 6000-7000 thousand dollars later, and I
still need to spend at least another $ 500.00 to finish...Sand (for
blasting), couple of gaskets, headwork etc. It is cold in here in New
England as it is in Northern New Jersey as well, so that might be a
factor unless you have a warm garage...Just don't get too crazy with
mods and run out of money like I did. BTW - Obviously my car is not done
yet, my new more realistic time frame is April...By then I will have
decent settlement (from the accident) and warmer weather...Now, how does
that electric go again ;-0
