Is this possible as my problem?

Larry, did it work afterwords, though? Once I came to a stop, she fired right back up and ran fine for a few minutes, then went back into the usual limp-mode.
As for the knock sensor, new knock sensor, cleaned connections, swapped knock box from a different 16V... no fixes.
So, although it sounds like the knock system, everything there is ok. The only thing I need to confirm is that if there was a problem with fuel, would it pull timing, or just stutter/stall?

It lost power while I was driving it like usual (feels like when you switch on the AC, only much more abrupt). SO I downshifted and gave it throttle... NOTHING, not even a noise. (Lights were still on as if engine was NOT stalled.) Downshifted again, and it just stalled as I rolled to a stop.

There is no stuttering to my car, the timing just gets pulled. Would a fuel clog cause my timing to be pulled - I thought it would just make the car stutter???
