Failed Smog in CA: need help s/ 88 16v

Based on this thread and my own up coming smog test I am wondering if an
amount of alcohol added to the tank will help as I am thinking lowering
the octane (to get a better burn) so there are less left overs in the
exhaust.


Your definitely going to want to 'clear it's throat' a bit.
