Body work Q: What's a good temp. covering?

Primer is not adequate to protect your body's sheet metal by itself.
Primer is permeable by water.

I really don't have a good suggestion except, since your car is black
you will not have paint color matching issues if you paint it piecemeal.
Why not do it in sections and final paint each section yourself. Even if
you blow the application or get some minor imperfections, with the black
you can colorsand and still get a perfect finish.
Also, it seems to me that I've had some issues in the past when applying
the final coat over light coats of previously applied enamel with the
older coat wrinkling.
