RE: sticking throttle

I'd look for bent linkages on/in the throttle body. (something is touching
something that it shouldn't be touching....) Pull the rubber intake "boot"
off, and open/close the throttle by hand, all the while closely observing
(by sight and feel)the linkage movement. The cause of the binding should
reveal itself. (loose secondary throttle plate??)

Subject: sticking throttle

On my 88 16v, whenever i give it enough gas that it opens up the secondary
butterfly valve in the TB, It doesn't like to return all the way to the
closed position. This causes the car to suck air and idle at like 3000rpms.
At this point i have to get out of the car and return the lever on top of
the throttle bottle to the fully closed position by hand. What has casued
this to start sticking slighty open and not return all the way to the closed
position, and how do i fix it? TIA
