Did you open the outer vents? There's a horizontal knob at the top of the
outer vents that opens/closes them. Either way, the outer vents are only
fresh-air vents and not heat vents, so you'll have to do with the center
heat anyway. Don't worry, they heat pretty well, and I used to live in
Minnesota...

Common problem! Your switch is broke. Yes, I'm pretty sure that Potterman or
a VW dealer can get them, but with it stuck on, your defrost circuit is
probably blown too. I don't know what will work for you, but my solution was
to move to Florida. <GRIN>

Can't help you there. I seem to be one of the only people around here
without a sunroof! Sorry.
