Depending on what the gages are, and how often you want to glance at them,
this might work.  I have thought about making a panel that hides in the
glove compartment.  The idea is that you open the glove box, flip out the
panel, then close the glove box bhind it, or on top of the panel, or
something like that.  Mine's a daily driver and there are a few gages I
would like to have around just to check occaisionally.  Haven't thought it
through any more than that.
