Yes...

I drove an '88 GTI 16V with a drained PS rack, driving it wasn't too bad,
but parking it, was a pain... 

I've heard from an unreliable source, that the PS rack has the same ratio
as a Quaife sport gear set. 

Let me know if you want to try it, I have a spare PS rack I'd like to
sell.
