Re: 81 Scirocco S - [How To] Trim back to black



I would have to agree with Randy.  I just did a completely all over paint
job to my 81S and took all the gasket materials and all the trim pieces off
and let me tell you, it was a HUGE pain in the arse!  The only thing that
made it worthwhile was the satisfaction of learning how it all went back
together but in retrospect... perhaps my time and energy spent cussing might
have gone to more productive things?

I did replace the rear side window seals in my car due to dryrotting and
those windows were the worst!  Whatever you do, outsource that little bit of
labor to a glass shop so that you don't end up going insane or something..
