yes, you will need to primer over primer, so you have enough to block
down to get all the waves out (if you're going for a top notch finish).
I've been helping out a friend at his body shop on a Chevelle (I think
it's an old american car ;^P) Anyway, he use etching primer and then
high build primer, then guide coat, block sand, primer again, then
guide coat, block sand, etc... I think we're on the 4th and final
cycle. You probably don't need to go through as many iterations...this
car is going to be black and going to do the show thing...

as for paint, i would spend the extra money for Glasurit, Sikkens, or
PPG. Give me the brand of primer, and i can ask him to make a whole
schedule for you to follow.

now i have a question. i've been thinking about pressure blasting my
76, but people have told me that the friction and heat generated from
the sand could warp (i.e. cause ripples) in the sheet metal. who did
your car and what media did they use?
