Re: octane question



I've never heard of a case were higher octane caused burned valves. There is
no maximum that an engine will tolerate, although as pointed out, higher
octane has less energy content. And, of course, it's just throwing money
away if your engine doesn't need it. If your engine isn't pinging on the
fuel you're using and the ignition advance you want to run there is no
reason to bump the octane.
