Re: [Axle] Why is my CV joint flopping around?

Well, Thx everybody, sometimes it's just good to bounce things off of
people.

It turned out that I had lashed the free end of the axle to the area
around the control arm mounts and as I was navigating it from the front
yard to the back I put enough pressure, at the right angle, to pop the
round circlip off the end. If I had been fany-dancy I might have lined
it and the other angled plastic washer thing up and popped them back on
without taking anything apart.

Since it is too close to do the right job, payday is a few days away and
I have other priorities I will cannibalize an axle unit off of the
Wabbit parked right next to it.

I can reman the axle during the week between ND & Cincy. #B{])>

On the good side I have the seals in the engine & trans, new SS brake
lines (I get by with a little help from my friends), I'm going with the
Konis & Unknown springs for now, the flywheel/clutch all brought back to
life, and all I need to finish is something to bridge the gap between my
cat and downpipe.

I might go to pick n' pull for lunch tomorrow.
