Re: Update on Relaying Headlamps



What is the total wattage consumed by the highs?  If
you have factory bulbs, that's 60W each just for the
high beam filament in the outer lenses, plus 60W? each
for the inner lenses, totaling 240W, or, dividing by
12V, 20 amps.  So if you have all four filaments
driven by one 15A fuse, sure it'll blow!

A 30A fuse would be what I'd consider if all above
assumptions are correct. I'm further assuming that the
wire size is sufficient to carry 30A, if it's bigger
than the factory wiring, you should be OK.
