Sal,

Don't know everything but thought you deserved a reply anyway-

1. The runners on the side benefit from a lube job. Best qualities of a
lube in this situation is something 'dry' like a wax vs something 'wet'
like silicon spray or oil, need it to stay clean, dry, slippery, and in
place. And not attack the rubber components n' felt stuff. Also the
gears might need some luvin too.

2. Power windows often have torn up gears, but sometimes just need the
electricals renewed, Ground wires, etc. Think about rebuilding,
freshening them if you get in there because you don't want to come back
and you don't want things getting hot from overwork, either mechanical
because of friction, or electrical because of corrosion and age of wires.
