Probably, I beleive in major engine parts to be replaced for new
if it start deteriorating, eventually you will have other alternator 
problems, simpler to change it now , and not have to worry about it for a 
few years.
but that is my view on things...

(just ordered every little bit of parts for changing shocks and prings (yes 
even the hex nuts...)
