You can do a couple different things if your A/C is gone.  First, you can
swap in a smaller radiator and use a short hose.  B. you can move your
alternator down to your A/C mount and use a shorter belt and use the
Golf/Jetta larger 16v radiator.  You could do both if you want. HTH!!
