Re: *ENGINE CEASE UPDATE* (long)



Is it possible that the oil got hot enough to thin it & drop the pressure 
below the buzzer point? Especially if you're running low-viscosity oil, the 
pressure's a little low to begin with due to worn bearings or pump, the oil 
level's a little low or a little high so you're getting some foaming, etc. 
I've seen some pretty significant drops in oil pressure after running my 8v 
only a couple of miles at 100-110mph in hot weather, with 20w50 oil and 
seeing no noticeable rise in the coolant temp gauge - not low enough to 
trigger the buzzer but enough to worry me into slowing down. Just a thought...
