You said it!!!!
This is absolutely THE BEST advice for keeping our Scirocco's in one piece.
Even tho' I drive briskly (ok, so I drive FAST) I live by the following
statement.
Always expect the unexpected.

My condolences on your Rocc, I hope it is repairable and you can get back on
the road again.
Best way to deal with cops, at least out here in CA, Yes Sir, no Sir, I
would never do that Sir...LOL.
