Unfortunately,.. this is fairly typical.   That little sleeve that you are
referring to can be welded back on to the pedal assembly...  or if you  just
want it to work for the time being,.. take a big ole upper strut washer or a
big ole washer from your local hardware store and  put that in the engine
bay.   Errh,.. that didn't come out right.   Pull the Clutch cable from the
pedal assembly and through the fire wall.   Slide the washer on and then
slide it back through the fire wall and onto the pedal assembly.
Finished,.. drive on.    That sleeve is just a "guide" for the cable and
prevents it from coming through the fire wall when the pedal is engaged.
Been there and done it@!
