I am begining (again) to hate this car.

Now I cannot just turn the key on the ignition of the gold rocco...
It refuses to start. With a client waving good bye, I climbed out of my car, 
popped the hood & shorted the starter.
Not a good impression.

Does the black & red wire go directly to the key switch?

Fed up.....
