16v vs 8v pedal assy

I was wondering if the pedal assy is heavier in the 16v compared to the 8v?
I have access to a 16v Scirocco and was planning on grabbing the pedal assy
(since I took everything else already!!!) for my car.  I have been hearing a
slight click when depressing the clutch pedal so I may need a pedal assy.
