Neal,

My experience comes from swapping a FI system into a carber 84 Rabbit.  I
kinda wish that I didn't but that's another story.

I had to swap the gas tank as the FI tank has a fuel return pipe.  If i
remember correctly the carbed tank is missing the one return pipe.

It regards to what tank will fit in an 75, I have no idea but I would assume
that you could use one from a Rabbit provided that it's from a FI car.  HTH
