RE: Parts catalogs $$$



A lot of companies will give you a free catalog with a minimum order.  For
example, Gene Berg Enterprises, a highly reputable aftermarket ACVW parts
developer/vendor, will do this with something like a $50 order, and
otherwise their catalog is pretty steep.

Incidentally, this is mild.  Wait until they start charging you to tell you
what part will fit your car, like Microsoft does.  We're looking at
upgrading some Microsoft software here at work for our server, and Microsoft
wants to charge us several hundred dollars just to tell us which of their
products we can upgrade to.

I hope the business world doesn't pick up on that concept...I guess it's
kind of self-eliminating, because whoever is last to adopt it will stay in
business the longest time.
