I must be missing the original post... what exactly was improperly "parted" from the car? All that was left that was worth anything were the brakes and ECU, maybe the 16v kit and tail lights...

I do not think that anyone maliciously took anything from the car. I remember one of the ND girls (her name escapes my frail memory at the moment) saying something to the effect of, "you guys ARE going to take the whole car, right?" or something like that...maybe someone thought that the car was going to go to the scrapyard after shawn was done with it.
if anything was taken, I'm sure it was totally innocent...just blame it on miscommunication. if anyone did come away with anything, no matter how insignificant it may seem, just email Tim privately and I'm sure everything will work out.

Just so that what I said here is clear, I don't fault Tim for what
happened nor do I think he is a bad guy in any way shape or form. On the
contrary, he was a victim of a theft and I want whomever took these items
(Some already have and I appreciate and respect their honesty.) to either
return them or contact him about making a payment on the item.
I think its pretty uncool that representatives of the Scirocco list stole
something for a fellow Scirocco owner. If you took the item with the
intention of paying for it, that's one thing. Maybe someone just forgot
that they were gonna call Tim?? Could of happened. Either way, this sort
of thing should of never happened.
Please step foreward and do the right thing.
