Hey Derek,

1.  No there is no buzzer.

2.  The headlights do go off so that in case you leave your lights on and
realize it after a few hours your battery might not be totally dead.  More
than a few hours, eh???

You might want to try putting an innovative product by 3M on your steering
wheel though.  It's called a 'post-it', you can use it to remind yourself to
turn off your headlights ;)
