You could try the autotech version.  It would probably hold up to the
Federal Crash test into a brick wall.  It's really heavy duty, but the key
word is HEAVY.

Why would you want to get something more than the stock style 16V lower
stress bar?  The factory designed it to work for the A1 chassis; plenty of
tuners run around 200HP while retaining the stock bar; it can be had for $45
from techtonics and Eurosport (I doubt you will A) find one in a junkyard B)
find one from a private party for less than the previously mentioned
companies).

That's the sway bar.  The "k" bar everyone is affectionately referring to is
called a stress bar.  It should be under there as well.  Sometimes they get
tossed when 16V's go in for clutch or trans work.  I think they are the
first thing to be tossed in junkyards as well (besides, you can't trust a
stress bar from a car that's been in an accident).
