Re: Now a friend with BIG 16V problems



The distributor needs to be checked for play in the shaft. (That can be
one bad mutha...I'm just talkin 'bout the shaft)
If the fiber bushings wear out, the shaft will have a lot of 'in/out'
play. If this happens and it's not repaired, the shaft will wear (with
it's new freedom) and that can cause wobble. HEY...wobble shaft!
I agree with Dan here. In eight years, about once a year, I have never
re-glued my rotor back on. I know the Bently states that it should be
done, but what can I say...I'm a sinner!
