RE: Bike Rack?

Beyond what Mark said (all good stuff especially about tying your wheels), I
use a Hollywood rack. It fits off the back and straps to the top of the
hatch and under the bumper. I've been using it for about 7 years and have
carried as many as three bikes (not recommended). It can easily handle two
bikes at highway speed. First issue with the rack is it limits your vision
out the back since the rack and bikes are sprawled across your rear window.
Second issue is it won't hold any of the beam or "Y" type bikes. Yakima or
Thule are the most secure way to go, but be ready to spend $400 or so for a
rack that may not be transferable to your second/next car.
