LEDs

i have a handful of LEDs that are shot in my 88 16v scirocco...i'd like to get these replaced since some things i just can't read at night like my environmental control panel and my small guage...i have a couple of questions

1)does anyone know how to get the LED out of the white backing peice of the environmental control panel?  it doesn't seem to want to come out...

2)where is the best place to get these LED's? some place like radio shack or from the stealership? if so, anyone know part numbers? here's the ones i need

-one in the cluster housing that lights up the tach
-cigarette lighter
-environmental control panel
-small guage
