I don't recommend this swap, btw... 
But you don't need to change the outer CV's, 90 mm and 100 mm A1 axles
will fit in the A2 hubs.

In fact the driver's side axle on a 16V Scirocco is the same part as 100
mm A2 driver's side axle, (some A2's had 90 mm axles...)

Yes, it is has a cam that works against the mounting hole on the hub
carrier, instead of the washers that work against the strut housing.
