RE: 16V Rev Limiter

Hi!

Well that's the thing what's bothering me too. I've got stock
KR 1.8 16v engine to what I've only done filter change to
Jamex airbox. But the rev limiter is already too early.
Mine is set to 7500. Well at the moment I do not want to get
rid of it, but when I change my cams and cam springs etc.
then I want to get rid of the limiter, as the cam specification
say that it works good until 8500 RPM's and the peak would be
around 6500-7000.

So the story is, that you do not want to get rid of the rev limiter
before you have changed the cam springs, because otherwise
the valves will hit the pistons and that's one thing you do not want
to happen. The limit for stock valve springs to handle is around
7500 AFAIK, so I'm already bit afraid of my own engine.
