WRONG! First option for ultimate performance shocks is Öhlins, those of you familiar with bikes know their reputation, bad thing with them is outrages price. But you get them exactly as you want them and then you can change compression and rebound separatly.

Second choices and in a more affordable price comes several brands, Bilstein as you meanchened, Koni and Sachs not to forget. Performance is similar, so are quality. Bilstein has a larger tube, good for especially rally, Konis are adjustable, good to have softer settings for normal use and harder for track etc.
