I honestly have no clue as to what the deal is with the list lately, but
when the list was first started, the premise was to discuss A1 cars
specifically the Scirocco. Since the Rabbit GTi's and other A1 cars all
share the same mechanicals, we welcomed any and all to join the list to
discuss anything A1 related. 

Times change, people change and lists evolve. Engine swaps from A2 and A3
(and the B cars too...) cars into A1's are common place and topics
related to the "OTHER VW's" can and will come up either for the technical
source info or for the simple fact that ALOT of the list members own more
than just one VW and they're not always another  Scirocco. (Which is why
I started my own list a while ago for Technical stuff only.)
 
If its me, id much rather have any other VW topic come up than to have to
go thru another speaker thread again. There too, its our duty to allow
those threads so it may help someone else even if its does absolutely
nothing for you. Exercise your freedom of choice and chose to do like me
and wear the hell out of your delete button. Works for me.
