Yeah, John said it, use which ever you have a hankering fer. If it's
easier then you can just mover the existing one out of the way and plop
the new 'lump' in. A close ratio trans can be nice at the lower speeds
but now with more power on hand the wide ratio trans are less of a
perceived problem off the line.
