RE: Help with timing!!



Assuming it is detonation, could your mixture be too lean, causing it to run
a bit on the warm side?  This tends to be a factor with ACVW engines, but I
can see it happening with a watercooled engine as well.  How do your plugs
look?  If you shift into a lower gear, does it stop pinging?
