    If the front motor mt. is worn or loose, this can increase the amount of
rocking the motor does on accel/decel. in turn increasing the
exhaust/swaybar banging. Could be a significant source of clunking. When you
say the bracket is broken, do you mean the rubber hanger or the metal hook?
Techtonics makes a replacement hanger that has a piece of chain built
in(much stronger!)
