Re: 02a, any reason to keep it?



    I met the guy today, and he's really cool. He's into VW drag racing, and
he thinks that he will get more life out of it than he would get from the
020 unit. He says he has gone through like 15 020 trannies! Well, I guess it
makes sense that it would be built tougher to cope with the increasd
performance, but still... what a hassle... We were talking about it, and
he's well aware of all of the work that it will involve. It sounds like we
will probbly end up making the deal, and I have aquired a new veedub
contact! always a plus. I'll probably take my camera over there next tme and
take a couple of pics of his stuff. He and his brother each have really cool
GTI's. His brother's has a really cool looking dual tip bosal (sp) muffler
on his a1 GTI. Each tip is like 3", but I think it looks pretty cool. I'm
thinking about one for my turborocco.

PS- Isn't it cool how fellow veedubbers are so easy to make friends with?!
