RE: 16v tranny machined itself! (parts)

heh I dont know, call me over protective/a worry wart. But after this I dont
ever want to go through it again. From now on every VW I buy I will either
have a rebuilt trans waiting for it with a bolt kit, or I will pull the
trans right away and hope it hasnt started machining itself yet :)if you
want to go for it. I see no negative reason not too aside from spending
money to have it done im kinda glad because im getting a completely rebuilt
trans with the bolt kit, and it will be nice to not have to worry anymore.
But use your own judgement and see if you can justify pulling it out and
spending the money to have this done. I didnt have to do that, the car
justified it for me. While they are in the tranny have it rebuilt, or at
least have them put a 2nd gear synchro in it. Thanks,

So i guess since I have the car up I should take the tranny back out of
the car and get a garage to do this mod eh??? Sounds like it is worth it
now! I wondering if any tranny garage will do it if I bring the tranny
there with the kit???

Damb and I put new input/output shaft seals in as well as the seal and
bushing inside the input shaft... GEEEZZZZ
