Before you start pullin of eng. parts
try doing a compression check on it,
and see what your psi rating is in each chamber.
This can tell you alot about the condition of your
valves and combustion chambers. And even if a
chamber or two is below spec. don't start worying
about a cracked head and valves and stuff like that
untill you cancelled all the simple things out. There's
a product called GM top engine cleaner. You can
only find this at a GM dist. It says its for carburated
engines but it'll work fine in your fuel inj. Run some
of that through it'll clean up your intake if you have
any gunk in there.
Then again it might not be your intake, there are many
things that could account for loss of power. Look
for signs that could point other places.
