Actually, when I installed my Brospeed 4" SS tip on my 88 Scirocco 16v it
did make a noise difference.  I already had a Techtonics 2.25" full exhaust,
then added the tip.  It definitely made the exhaust have a much deeper, and
louder tone.  It was a subtle change, but I definitely liked it, especially
in tunnels!  But it added no power, which I knew already.  Just my 2
cents...
