As I did not see any reply's to your question throughout the digest 
listing, Id thought I would chime in.

There is only one type of tip that gives a performance gain.  I 
custom make VW Scirocco specific tips that are guarenteed to give you 
a gain you will see and feel.

I have used this tip for two years, and have seen a definite 
advantage.



Actually, the truth is that a tip does nothing for performance or 
sound, it is just something else to polish every day.  If you want a 
different sound, get a different muffler.  I use the Walker Dynomax.
